Quick Reference in the App: How to Memorize Constitution Facts Fast

Updated: September 2026

Some questions on the Constitution basics exam aren't about the general meaning of the text — they're about specific numbers: how many members the Seimas has, how long a term lasts, the minimum age to run for office. Numbers like that are easier to forget than general principles, which is why the app now has a dedicated Quick Reference section.

How Quick Reference is organized

Quick Reference follows the same structure as the Constitution itself — by part: "The State of Lithuania," "The Individual and the State," "Society and the State," "The Seimas," and so on. Each group has short cards with a number or term, a one-line explanation, and the exact Constitution article it comes from.

A few examples from the "Seimas" section

For example, the Seimas section includes cards like these:

  • 141 — the number of Seimas members (Art. 55);
  • 4 years — the length of a Seimas member's term (Art. 55);
  • at least 3/5 of 141 members — how many must be elected for the Seimas to be considered validly elected (Art. 56);
  • 25 years — the minimum age on election day to run for the Seimas, together with a permanent residency requirement in Lithuania (Art. 56).

Other sections — from the President and Government to local government and the courts — are organized the same way.

How to use it while studying

Quick Reference works best not as a replacement for reading the full Constitution text, but as fast review — before a chapter test or before an exam simulation. A few minutes with a section's cards is often all it takes for the key numbers to stick.
